In the south of the country, the weather is very hot and dry throughout the year and the nights are cooler during the months of December and January. Rain falls from November to March in coastal areas, with high temperatures in summer months. The climate is mostly much cooler in the mountains. Marrakech and Agadir enjoy an average temperature of 21°C (70°F) in the winter.
Arabic is the official language, but French is often the language of business, government, and diplomacy. Spanish and English are widely spoken.

Attractions
Rabat is the capital city of the Kingdom of Morocco. Best places to visit are the Royal Palace, 12th-century Hassan Tower and the magnificent Mausoleum of the late king Mohammed V.
Fez is a heritage site with several cultural, educational, and religious organizations. Tourist attractions include the Royal Palace and the fascinating Medina.
Marrakech is perhaps Africa's most popular sunshine resort. Travelling to and from Morocco
Morocco is just a three-hour flight away from the UK. British Airways and Royal Air Maroc fly scheduled routes to Tangiers, Casablanca and the capital Rabat. In 2005 Morocco signed an Open Skies initiative to bring cheap flights to Morocco. AtlasBlue, Ryanair and EasyJet now fly low cost routes daily into Marrakesh international airport and there are plans for 20 new Morocco destinations in the near future, Morocco tourism is set to soar as holidays in Morocco become more and more popular. Phase 1 properties are due for completion in 2008.

Getting Finance / Mortgages in Morocco
Morocco offers mortgages for non-residents and all banking products are becoming widely available.
Mortgages
Although mortgages are available for off plan property in Morocco, the most an overseas buyer can currently borrow is normally 60% of the valuation price. The purchase can be paid in either Euros, US Dollars or Sterling, and needs to be transferred from a foreign account into a Moroccan bank where the transaction will be processed into Dirhams.
Mortgages are generally more expensive than British equivalents. It is a good idea to shop around the British banks as some will also lend for Moroccan off plan property.
